RC Yachting at Goolwa SA

This website has been produced to assist sailors at Goolwa SA develop a radio sailing group initially using 'Phantom' yachts and a few one metre yachts.  Include as well a couple of Marbleheads, TS16's, Lasers and more to come.

The IOM International One Metre yacht has gradually evolved as our preferred,  standard yacht though we are quite happy to welcome all yacht types of one metre or less.

We are pleased to welcome Scarpantoni as a sponsor of our racing series.  Many of our members enjoy Scarpantoni wines regularly and we would encourage you to look at their range.

• Yes we sail rain or shine! Prefer the shine though combined together is not bad either.

• Have a spectrum DX6i radio?  Those shocking trim tabs break so easily with no warning.  See a solution at http://www.eastrc.org/estoretrimtab1.htm
  These work on most spectrum radios and even on the orange transmittter.

A One Metre and Hurricane at Goolwa

Sailing is being held on Mondays and Fridays from 2:30 pm to 4:30 pm weather permitting at the Goolwa Regatta Yacht Club basin using their wharf area for launching.

While they are not used now, this shot  of Phantoms racing at Goolwa on a downwind leg indicates they were important in the development of our group - Click image for more pictures
