Membership at Goolwa
The Goolwa Radio Control Yachting Group
welcomes new members. While experience in sailing is an advantage,
many of our members have no background in sailing full sized yachts.
Others have sailing and racing experience in dinghies, trailerable yachts
and keelboats. Despite this disparity all our members are extremely
keen on sailing radio controlled yachts. The rules of sailing in RC
yachts are basically the same as for full sized ones with a few minor
variations. The
'E-blue
book' which is the controlling rules publication world wide has a
section outlining these minor differences in Appendix E. Click on the links
to view them. There is an index page listing Appendix E near the start
and a link to direct you to it.
While not formally a club at this stage, we
require members to complete a
membership form. This is available in three versions and enables us to
maintain communication between members. An e-mail address is very desirable
-
Complete the
form on-line.
On submitting the form it will be automatically e-mailed to the
Ben Morris who is maintaining the list. You will receive a reply confirming the application
within a day or so. Existing members can also use this process to
update their information.
-
Complete a
word form document
by
downloading it, completing the form and e-mailing it as an attachment to
the Ben Morris -
benmorris@senet.com.au
-
Download the
club flyer which has an
application form as part of the document, print the form, complete it
and bring it to the sailing venue on Monday or Friday.
There are currently no club fees, though this
may change if we move to a more formal club arrangement. We encourage
everyone to be a member of the Goolwa Regatta Yacht Club.
