Sailing Instructions.
1. Yachts that get caught on the marina side of the course and need to be physically rescued are immediately declared as a DNF.
2 Buoy contacts WILL be penalised and require a 360 turn to exonerate the error. The exception to this is the SE buoy which is considered too far to be rounded with accuracy because of the light and conditions in which we sail. No penalty is required if contact is made with this buoy. The buoy MUST be rounded correctly and all other rules apply at the mark.. Beware the buoy near the wharf on the finish leg!!
3. The handicap scoring scheme has a gradation of handicap changes for the first and last bunch of yachts removing the desire of skippers to hang back to avoid getting a handicap change.

Full 2025-2028 Racing Rules of Sailing (RRS)

Somewhat disastrous day as Don had more issues with his now excessively expensive winch and numbers down a bit and issues of keys / fobs. So a close in windward mark on land side of Marinas and a reverse course around the Y shape. Not too many mistakes made as yachts headed in the wrong direction. Racing and results was close as the three often finished within boat-lengths of each other.

Funny old day with WNW winds to 10 knots to start with swinging to about 8 knots from S ish though somewhat variable. This gave us a mixed bag of courses all on the same course - very clever PRO!

Excellent day for sailing with 'B' rigs. While it would have been possible to use 'A' rigs (Steve did!), there were too many situations where control was of more importance than sheer power.

It turned out to be a good day's sailing 10/12 knots breeze from the NE, standard Y course set by Phil our PRO who kept us under control, thanks Phil.

Quite a pleasant day with winds to 10 knots form the WSW and a standard Y corse. This made for close and broad reaches around all the course so all up to hull speed and difficult to make inroads into yachts ahead. An enjoyable sail though and great to see 6 yachts on the course.

Another perfect day in paradise with gentle NW winds to 10 knots and mild temperatures to make life pleasant. Racing was close all day with not much between the yachts and some close finishes to add to the excitement. All under perfect control of our wonderful PRO who keeps everyone honest and happy.

A very pleasant day with winds from WNW to 10 knots. Ben was consistent all day. Everyone had wins but struggled in the next few races. Phil maintained his high standard and kept us all honest and the day flowing nicely.

Yes another Bob day with 10-12 knots of WNW winds and everyone up to speed in the mainly reaching or slightly eased sheeting conditions. Thanks once again for the great leadership of phil and the skillful sailing of the skippers.

Let me think???? It was a pleasant day from memory, with plenty of wind moving yachts across a Westerly wind to 15 knots or so. Racing was very close with many finishes hotly contested in the last leg. Bob just kep going fast while Richard and Ben were always within a few boatlengths.

A strange day with Northerly winds tho varying considerably. With about 10-12 knoyts to start with all carried 'A' rigs. The wind lightened during the day to finish about 6-7 knots or even less at times. Weed was a problem with sailors a little frustrated at times by getting a start then have others pull away.

Plenty of wind generally from the West. All on 'B' rigs tho it was a bit light at times but A's would have been overpowered often. This made each leg a reaching leg or sprung sheets at the least so all yachts were up to speed. Bob again showed good speed in these conditions and won again.

A very strange day with very still condition to start with then building to 10 knots and finally fading to 5 knots. Meanwhile the wind direction went from ENE to SE and back to E again?? To make matters worse there was a weed problem affecting yachts very much in the light conditions. As well, Don had to leave early and Ben had his ongoing electrical issue return (got it solve now though!!). Despite all that we enjoyed the day and Phil kept the event running smoothly. .

A very windy day with gusts above 20 knots. All on 'B' rig tho Bob changed to a 'C' Rig later. Winds were from yhe WNW but quite variable with big shifts especially around the entrance to the Marina area. Some amazing runs out to the far buoy though and close tussles in the beat to the inner mark.

A good 18-12 knot breeze from the WNW made for fast and close sailing. Bob was unbeatable early in the day where conditions suited his yacht. Sailing tho was close and exciting.

Light conditions today 0 to 6 knots Only three sailors today good racing over. Phil did a top job with the standard Y course

WNW winds to 18 knots made it a reaching course for most legs so yachts were up to speed and racing was fast and furious. Richard reveled in these conditions and creamed the fleet. The wild cold conditions during the previous week had moderated and made the day enjoyable.

Ben really likes these 5-8 knot winds with his deep sails just seems to accelerate well in the light gusts. Wind was from the NNE and a little variable.

Gentle reaching conditions from a 10 knot ENE breeze everyone up to hull speed and not many passing options but still an exciting day. Once again Roger and Don only separated by the result in the lst race ie both had 3 firsts, 3 seconds, 1 third and 3 fourths after discards removed and ended up on 24 pts each. So results determined by position in last race.
