Mast fitting for shrouds forestay
The top
mast shrouds and forestay are also attached to plastic fittings.
This is unfortunate as the lower shrouds have a metal attachment
which is much stronger. The easiest way to replace or
repair these attachment points is to use a loop of stainless
wire passing through a small hole in the mast with a small ring
folded on end. These are very strong and secure
