Modifications to Mast Fittings for Shrouds etc on the Phantom Yacht

Mast fitting for shrouds forestay

The top mast shrouds and forestay are also attached to plastic fittings.  This is unfortunate as the lower shrouds have a metal attachment which is much stronger.  The easiest way to replace or repair these attachment points is to use a loop of stainless wire passing through a small hole in the mast with a small ring folded on end.  These are very strong and secure
